Just play on PC. People certainly have made controllers work with SWTOR, it requires lots of different button combinations but it works. Steam Deck also has L4/R4 and L5/R5 buttons on the underside so that combined with the streamlining of abilities might make it even easier to map across. The switch version of KII had so many issues I just put it down until it’s fixed. For the skipping dialogue I just restarted my game though. It sometimes happens on the PC version as well, I think I read that its a memory leak or something somewhere. I just finished a playthrough of Kotor 1 (for probably 20th time) on my steam deck and it was an incredible experience! There were a few bugs here and there, but nothing game breaking. I was also able to enable console commands without any issues. However, I just started Kotor 2 and for whatever reason cannot get the console commands to work.Sunsetting of Reddit support for the mod builds. But the Steam version I'm sure is totally different. KOTOR 1 Restoration for KOTOR 1, TSLRCM for KOTOR 2. Both restore cut content and make appropriate bug fixes, K1R for KOTOR 1 and TSLRCM for KOTOR 2.

The Steam Deck and Controller have really detailed layout editing and additional buttons. I had abilities 1-4 on the face buttons, then if I held down one of the back buttons it would do abilities 5-8, and then had 9-12 on the D-pad.
